Rummage Sale

We are having a rummage sale in the Sainte-Cécile church basement (1, Route Principale Est, Ste-Cécile de Masham)onFriday, December 4 from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday, December 5 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.Face coverings and social distancing are required. You will also be asked to provide your name and telephone number for our client register. There will be many items of furniture, clothing, toys, dishware, Christmas decorations and much more. Come see for yourself, there’s sure to be great finds.Hope to see you there.

Firefighters' Guignolée 2020

Due to potential contamination risk related to COVID-19, our regular food collect will be changed this year. Food and donations will not be collected at our fire stations.

KIndly send your donation either by cheque at Caisse Populaire in Masham or by mail at Banque Alimentaire La Pêche, 41 Route Principale Est, La Pêche, Qc JOX 2W0, by the end of December. Thanks you for your generosity and take care of yourself.

Christmas Baskets 2020: registration

The La Pêche food bank offers people experiencing financial difficulties or low income the opportunity to register for a Christmas basket (according to certain criteria). Only residents of the Municipality of La Pêche are eligible for this service.

Registration forms will be available at the CLSC and at Ste Cecile Church. Form must be returned to the same locations no later than November 27th.

The La Pêche Food Bank Organizing Committee will communicate with you upon receipt of your registration.


Wakefield Library
New Rules for Red Zone

Until further notice, the library will stay open Monday to Wednesday, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Clients may come to the front desk only, to ask for books. The volunteer will then retrieve the books for checkout. We also accept book orders by email (bookorder@bibliowakefieldlibrary.ca) and by phone (819 459-3266). If you want to search for books, please go to our website at http://bibliowakefieldlibrary.ca/ and click on “Catalogue Search”.

When you come to the library, please respect the rules: wear a mask, disinfect your hands and sign into the list for contact tracing. Thank you for your understanding and a special thanks to our volunteers that make this possible.


Fairbairn House Heritage Centre

The tourist office at Fairbairn House is closed for the season.We look forward to welcoming the community back in May 2021.

Like many organizations, the Parish is seriously affected by COVID restrictions which prevent us from holding fundraising activities such as the Christmas Fair. Therefore, we are counting on your generosity to help cover recurrent operating expenditures despite the pandemic.

You will need your reusable bags and a voluntary contribution of $ 5 per person to a maximum of $ 20 per family.

A face shield is mandatory to enter in the center.
