Good Mood Repair Kit
Wednesday, February 16 at 1:30 p.m. on Zoom

Have you ever noticed how sometimes we’re waiting for something big to happen in our life before we give ourselves permission to be happy?

During this 90-minute lecture/workshop we will explore and take stock of what we already have in our daily life that can help us maintain a good mood… in spite of everything!

Using games and play, we will discover the hidden potential for happiness available to us every day.

Make sure to have some writing paper on hand as well as crayons and a marker. Our play activities will include a Good Mood Bingo, a JOY card and surprises that will bring smiles and laughter.

Personal Caregivers Support Group – Monthly Meeting Tuesday, March8 at 1:30 p.m. on Zoom

You’ve been there before. It feels like you have a big prickly lump in your throat. No, it’s not Covid. It’s a mass of red-hot anger, of tears held back, screams hanging on the walls like earrings. It’s all the «I would like, I need, I want … » unsaid, unheard, leaving us with our caregiver grief and fatigue alone to cope with the challenges.

We need to express our distress and for that we need help, allies, friends and the support of a secure group where words appease, heal, comfort. We are there for each other, simply, respectfully, sharing the kindliness of human values.

To consult our calendar of activities, please go to www.tabledesainesdescollines.org

Recharging your Batteries with the Joy of Living

Monday, March 14 at 1:30 p.m. on Zoom

What is your greatest need at this moment? Don’t think, just answer spontaneously. What if it was simply to live and feel re-energized? And what if you could use that inner strength that you’ve had for a long time, that you’ve always had?

Our guest speaker, Blandine Soulmana makes no promises and has no magic formula to cure that for which there is no cure, fate... but what if your destiny was actually to acknowledge and to accept your strength, your ability to adapt to the unpredictable, prove yourself equal to the challenges, and free yourself of the fear of having to face them.

You did not wish for ill-health in your family or for this new role as personal caregiver that was imposed on you, nor the agony and helplessness that come with loss. But you do possess something which is essential and wonderful, resilience. You also have an opportunity to channel your hurts into words, to ease the dread of facing the unknown within yourself and the challenges ahead.

To register for the Zoom link: call 819 457-9191, ext. 242 or toll free, 1 855 662-4637, ext. 242 or e-mail sosprochesaidants@gmail.com.

This free activity is available to all personal caregivers in the MRC des Collines. All that’s required is that you feel the need and the desire to be pro-active in finding your own personalized joy of living.
