Agricultural Commission: Second meeting for the selection of residents members
April 23, 2020

The Municipality of La Pêche is currently looking for candidates to sit on its agricultural commission. Interested parties are invited to a web conference, which will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 23.

The agricultural commission will be composed of a maximum of nine voting members, including six citizens and three council members; and a representative of the municipal administration. Citizen members will be selected during the meeting1. The council members of the commission are councillors Carolane Larocque and Pamela Ross, as well as mayor Guillaume Lamoureux.

The mandate of the commission will be, among other things, to make recommendations to the council on the following subjects:

a) The review of the agricultural components of the urban plan and urbanism bylaw of La Pêche;

b) The agricultural zone development plan (PDZA)of the MRC des Collines;

c) The agricultural economy and municipal taxation of La Pêche;

d) The environment, food security and fight against climate change;

e) The impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on agriculture
