Public consultation meeting on first draft by-law 19-798 and first draft by-law 19-799

During a regular meeting held on November 4th, 2019 the council of the Municipality of La Pêche adopted the first draft by-law 19-798, to modify zoning by-law 03-429, the first draft by-law 19-799, to modify the revised planning program no. 03-428.

A public consultation meeting will be held on Monday, December 2, 2019, at 7 p.m. at the Desjardins Hall of the La Pêche Sports Complex, located at 20, chemin Raphaël in La Pêche. During this meeting, the mayor (or his designated representative) will explain the draft by-laws and hear from any individuals and organizations that wish to speak on it.

  • The first draft by-law 19-798 contains provisions specific to a by-law that may be approved by referendum:

a) Add construction category 6.6.6: island of fuel dispensers;

b) Add construction category 6.6.7: Canopy

c) Add special provisions applicable to business that sell fuel and petroleum products.

The new provisions of first draft by-law 19-798 would be applicable in all zones where the use class 5.2.7: Retail sales of oil and gas products is authorized.


The first draft by-law 19-799 contains provision specific to a by-law that may be approved by referendum:

a) Modification to authorized or prohibited uses in zone CRT-601, excluding the followings class of uses:

  • 5.2.2: Sale of building materials;
  • 5.2.7: Retail sales of oil and gas products;
  • 5.2.8: Sales and rental of passenger vehicles;
  • 5.2.9: Sale, rental, repair of light vehicles and various equipment;
  • 5.2.10: Passenger vehicle maintenance and repair;
  • 5.2.11: Body repairing and painting (passenger vehicles)

The concerned zone (CRT-601) is located in the Recreation and tourism centre - Wakefield, and includes properties located on west side of Riverside road, starting from the intersection with Elmdale road.
